Where the storm ends; art by Henry Hu

Hong Kong bred, Sydney based, Henry’s artworks are personal and intentional with a focus on storytelling. He strives to assemble a full body of work, forming a series piece by piece. Each individual art collection usually consists of multiple pieces, grouped by specific concepts or stories.

By experimenting with digital tools, visually Henry commits to linking something fresh and alternative yet familiar. A majority of the artworks began with waves of broken, vague memories or stories. For Henry, art has always been about compiling scattered memories to create materials that reflect and produce a collective consciousness that lasts. This allows us to romanticise about past memories, which much of the time are romantisiced in our minds.
